position trader
position trader Finance Definition
A
futures trader who holds onto his or her investment for a long period of time,
perhaps even for several months or longer. Position traders are looking to make
money from strong fundamental changes in the market, rather than short-term
price moves. Position traders may attempt to take advantage of the spread
between prices for different delivery months for the same commodity.
