Modifies a noun

  • tendon: The osteotomy is made 1cm posterior and parallel to the peroneal tendons.
  • nerve: Rarely, knee replacement surgery can produce an injury to the main nerve of the calf called the common peroneal nerve.
  • muscle: EMG of the peroneal muscles was monitored to eliminate any muscle activity while recording the MOM.
  • atrophy: In 1912, Hoffman identified a case of peroneal muscular atrophy with thickened nerves.
  • instability: Patients with peroneal instability may complain that the ankle gives way.
