off-floor order
off-floor order Finance Definition
An
order to buy or sell a security that comes from off of the exchange floor,
meaning that it is from a broker who is processing an order for a customer, in
contrast to an on-floor order, which often comes from a floor member trading
for a personal account. Off-floor orders are required to be executed before
on-floor orders.
