nonrated Finance Definition
A company’s or government’s debt issue that hasn’t been rated by one of the rating agencies, such as Standard & Poor’s. The issue may not be rated because the company or government hasn’t contracted with one of the ratings agencies or the issue is so small that it doesn’t warrant rating.
