Val·sal·va (văl-sălˈvə, väl-sälˈvä), Antonio Maria 1666-1723.

Italian anatomist known for his detailed studies of the ear, his innovative surgical approach to aneurysms, and the use of the Valsalva maneuver. He was also an early advocate for the compassionate treatment of the mentally ill.
