trans·car·bam·yl·ase (trănsˌkär-bămˈə-lāsˌ, -lāzˌ) or trans·car·bam·o·yl·ase (trănsˌkär-bămˈō-ə-lāsˌ, -lāzˌ)
noun Any of various enzymes that catalyze the transfer of carbamyl groups from one molecule to another. Also called carbamyltransferase.
