to·mog·ra·phy (tō-mŏgˈrə-fē)
noun Any of several techniques for making detailed x-rays of a plane section of a solid object, such as the body, while blurring out the images of other planes. Also called laminagraphy, planigraphy, planography, stratigraphy.
