syn·chon·dro·sis (sĭngˌkŏn-drōˈsĭs, sĭnˌ-)
noun pl. syn·chon·dro·ses (-sēz) A rigid union between two bones formed either by hyaline cartilage or by fibrocartilage. Also called synchondrodial joint.
