Relating to the styloid process of the temporal bone and to the hyoid bone.
noun
A muscle with origin from the styloid process of the temporal bone, with insertion into the hyoid bone by two slips on either side of the intermediate tendon of the digastric muscle, with nerve supply from the facial nerve, and whose action elevates the hyoid bone.
