semi-closed anesthesia (sĕmˌē-klōzdˈ, sĕmˌī-)
noun Inhalation anesthesia using a circuit in which a portion of the exhaled air is exhausted from the circuit and a portion is rebreathed following removal of carbon dioxide by the anesthetic apparatus.
