scalenus anterior syndrome definition - medical
sca·le·nus anterior syndrome (skā-lēˈnəs)
noun A disorder characterized by pain and tingling in the forearm and hand similar to that occurring in cervical rib syndrome, caused by compression of the brachial plexus and subclavian artery against the first thoracic rib by a hypertonic anterior scalene muscle. Also called scalenus anticus syndrome, Naffziger syndrome.
