Ro·ki·tan·sky (rōˌkĭ-tănˈskē), Baron von Karl 1804-1878.

Austrian physician who was one of the founders of modern pathological anatomy. He performed more than 30,000 autopsies and published numerous studies on diseases of the heart and arteries based on his observations.
