  1. An artery with its origin in the internal pudendal artery, with distribution to the anal canal, the muscles and skin of the anal region, and the skin of the buttocks; inferior rectal artery.
  2. An artery with its origin in the internal iliac artery, with distribution to the middle portion of the rectum; middle rectal artery.
  3. An artery with its origin in the inferior mesenteric artery, with distribution to the upper part of the rectum; superior rectal artery.
