An epileptic seizure often associated with temporal lobe disease and characterized by complex sensory, motor, and psychic symptoms such as impaired consciousness with amnesia, emotional outbursts, automatic behavior, and abnormal acts. Also called psychomotor seizure, temporal lobe epilepsy.
