promyelocyte definition - medical
pro·my·e·lo·cyte (prō-mīˈə-lə-sītˌ)
noun A cell containing a few granules formed in the transition from myeloblast to myelocyte during the development of a granulocyte; it is the predominant cell type seen in granulocytic leukemia. Also called granular leukoblast, progranulocyte.
