post-po·li·o syndrome (pōst-pōˈlē-ōˌ)
noun A condition occurring most often in individuals who contracted severe cases of polio before age 10 and characterized by fatigue, exhaustion, muscle weakness, painful joints, and occasionally difficult breathing.
