phlyc·ten·u·la (flĭk-tĕnˈyə-lə)
noun pl. phlyc·ten·u·lae (-lē) A small red nodule of lymphoid cells, with an ulcerated apex, occurring in the conjunctiva of the eye. Also called phlyctenule.
