peroneal longus definition - medical
peroneal long·us (lŏnˈgəs)
noun A muscle with origin from the fibula and the tibia, with insertion to the medial cuneiform bone and the base of the first metatarsal, with nerve supply from the peroneal nerve, and whose action causes plantar flexion and eversion of the foot. Also called fibularis longus.
