par·a·hip·po·cam·pal gyrus (părˌə-hĭpˌə-kămˈpəl)
noun A long convolution located on the medial surface of the temporal lobe of the brain and forming the lower part of the gyrus fornicatus. Also called hippocampal gyrus.
