par·a·gan·gli·on (părˌə-găngˈglē-ən)
noun pl. par·a·gan·gli·a (-glē-ə) A small round body containing chromaffin cells, found near the aorta and in the kidney, liver, heart, and gonads. Also called chromaffin body.
