noun pl. ne·vi (-vīˌ)- A congenital circumscribed growth or mark on the skin, such as a mole or birthmark, colored by hyperpigmentation or increased vascularity.
- A benign localized overgrowth of melanin-forming cells arising in the skin early in life.
