mu·ti·lat·ing keratoderma (myo͞otˈl-āˌtĭng)

noun
An inherited keratoderma of the extremities that develops during childhood and is characterized by fibrous bands around the middle phalanx of the fingers or toes that may cause spontaneous amputation. Also called Vohwinkel syndrome.
