mupirocin calcium definition - medical
mu·pir·o·cin calcium (myo͞o-pîrˈə-sĭn)
noun An antibiotic that is produced by the bacterium Pseudomonas fluorescens and inhibits protein synthesis by streptococcal and staphylococcal bacteria. It is used locally in the treatment of bacterial skin infections, such as impetigo.
