mu·cin·ase (myo͞oˈsə-nāsˌ, -nāzˌ)
noun An enzyme, usually a hyaluronidase, that catalyzes the hydrolysis of mucopolysaccharide substances such as mucins. Also called mucopolysaccharidase.
