noun- An artery with its origin in the anterior ethmoidal artery, with distribution to the meninges in the anterior cranial fossa; anterior meningeal artery.
- An artery with its origin in the maxillary artery, with branches to the petrosal, ganglionic, superior tympanic, frontal, and parietal arteries, with distribution to the parts mentioned and to the anterior and middle cranial fossae; middle meningeal artery.
- An artery with its origin in the ascending pharyngeal artery, with distribution to the dura mater of the posterior cranial fossa; posterior meningeal artery.
