Meleney's gangrene definition - medical
Me·le·ney's gangrene (mə-lēˈnēz)
noun A form of gangrene of the skin and subcutaneous tissues, usually following an operation, caused by a synergistic interaction between microaerophilic nonhemolytic streptococci and aerobic hemolytic staphylococci; it produces extensive tissue necrosis with ulceration. Also called Meleney's ulcer.
