man·so·nel·li·a·sis (mănˌsə-nĕl-īˈə-sĭs)
noun Infection with a species of filarial worms of the genus Mansonella, transmitted by biting midges of the genus Culicoides; the adult worms live in the serous cavities, especially the peritoneal cavity, in mesenteric and perivisceral adipose tissue, and in the skin.
