id·i·o·i·sol·y·sin (ĭdˌē-ō-ī-sŏlˈĭ-sĭn, -īˌsə-līˈsĭn)
noun An idiolysin occurring in the blood of an animal and capable of combining with red blood cells from an animal of the same species, thereby causing hemolysis when complement is present.
