crocodile tears syndrome (krŏkˈə-dīlˌ)
noun A syndrome caused by a lesion of the seventh cranial nerve central to the geniculate ganglion and resulting in residual facial paralysis with profuse lacrimation during eating. Also called crocodile tears.
