ci·ne·plas·tic amputation (sĭnˌə-plăsˈtĭk)
noun Surgical removal of an extremity in which the muscles and tendons in the stump are arranged so that they can perform independent movements and communicate motion to a specially constructed prosthetic apparatus. Also called cineplastics.
