Chi·a·ri's syndrome (kē-äˈrēz)
noun Thrombosis of the hepatic vein with enlargement of the liver and extensive development of collateral vessels, intractable ascites, and severe portal hypertension. Also called Budd-Chiari syndrome, Chiari's disease, Rokitansky's disease.
