car·ci·noid (kärˈsə-noidˌ)

noun
A small, slow-growing, benign or malignant tumor, usually in the gastrointestinal tract, that is composed of islands of rounded cells with small vesicular nuclei and secretes serotonin. Also called argentaffinoma.
