buph·thal·mi·a (bo͞of-thălˈmē-ə) or buph·thal·mos (-məs, -mŏsˌ) or buph·thal·mus (-məs)
noun A disease of infancy marked by an increase of intraocular fluid and consequent enlargement of the eyeball. Also called congenital glaucoma.
