a·zu·ro·phil (ă-zho͝orˈə-fĭlˌ, ăzhˈə-rō-fĭlˌ) or a·zu·ro·phile (-fīlˌ, -fĭlˌ)
adjective Staining readily with an azure dye. Used especially in reference to certain cytoplasmic granules in white blood cells.
