an·gi·o·neu·rot·ic edema (ănˌjē-ō-no͝o-rŏtˈĭk)
noun Recurring episodes of noninflammatory swelling of the skin, mucous membranes, viscera, and brain, occasionally accompanied by arthralgia, purpura, or fever. Also called angioedema, atrophedema, Bannister's disease, giant urticaria, Quincke's disease.
