am·i·do·hy·dro·lase (ămˌĭ-dō-hīˈdrə-lāsˌ, -lāzˌ, ə-mēˌ-)
noun An enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of the C-N bond in an amide. Also called deamidase, deamidizing enzyme.
