achromatopsia definition - medical
a·chro·ma·top·si·a (ā-krōˌmə-tŏpˈsē-ə, ə-krōˌ-) or a·chro·ma·top·sy (ā-krōˈmə-tŏpˌsē, ə-krōˈ-)
noun A severe congenital deficiency in color perception, often associated with nystagmus and reduced visual acuity. Also called achromatic vision, monochromatism.
