Le Duc Tho

(lāˈ dŭkˈ tōˈ) 1911-1990.

Vietnamese political leader who negotiated the North Vietnamese-U.S. cease-fire (1973) with Henry Kissinger. Both were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize (1973), but Le Duc Tho refused it on the grounds that peace was not yet established in South Vietnam.
