The casting of ballots to decide an issue; usually used to refer to the casting of votes in order to elect officials or to decide a question on the ballot.
voting trust
Entrustment by a group of stockholders in a corporation of their votes to a trustee, who shall be empowered to act on their behalf, without the stockholders retaining control to direct the trustee’s actions.
