  1. To manufacture something. For example, the Chevrolet Division of General Motors Corporation produces Corvettes in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
  2. To cause something to occur or exist. For example, a tariff on Canadian timber produces high lumber prices in the United States.
  3. To grow or bring forth: Farmers in the plains produce huge amounts of wheat.
