  1. Also, drag ass or drag it or drag tail. Leave, depart, as in I'm dragging my ass out of this place, or It's really late, let's drag ass! [Vulgar slang; 1920s]
  2. Also, drag one's tail. Move or act with deliberate slowness, as in Hurry up, stop dragging your tail. [Vulgar slang; c. 1930] For a more polite synonym, see drag one's feet.
