Traffic Flood
Traffic Flood definition - hacker
An attempt to “flood” a network. Typically, this is done
sending large numbers of bogus data packets, thereby stopping legitimate
network traffic. Traffic floods, a very common form of cyber attack, are often
carried out by disrupting network connectivity by using multiple hosts in a Distributed Denial of Service Attack,
or DDoS.
