Phreaking definition - hacker
A form of cyberspace theft and/or fraud using technology to make free telephone calls. John Draper (a.k.a. CapÂ’n Crunch) is probably the most famous phreaker in the Computer Underground, because he was the first in the U.S. who was jailed for this type of exploit.
