utility revenue bond definition - finance
A municipal bond issued to finance the construction of utilities, such as electric generation facilities, water processing facilities, and sewer systems. The bonds are repaid from the revenues of the facility. The bonds typically come with a reserve fund in the event that there is an interruption in cash flow or a delay in cash receipts.
