The founder of cable televisionÂ’s first news station, Cable News Network (CNN). He also founded Turner Network Television (TNT). His holding company, Turner Broadcasting System Inc. (TBS), was acquired by Time Warner Inc., which merged with America Online Inc., in 2000.
