Treasury budget

Treasury budget definition - finance
A monthly report on the U.S. government budget by the Treasury Department. It includes the amount of receipts and disbursements made during the previous month. The data is typically released on the 15th of the month for the prior month at 2 P.M. ET. The data gives the fiscal year-to-date budget surplus or deficit and it gives the year-over-year growth in fiscal year-to-date revenues and expenditures. Its influence on the financial markets is very small; however, the overall trend of the governmentÂ’s deficit or surplus is important.
