Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee

Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee definition - finance
A committee of The Bond Market Association that meets on a quarterly basis with U.S. Treasury officials. The committee represents bond underwriters and dealers, and puts forward the opinions of the industry about whether the frequency of Treasury securities sales should be increased or decreased. The committee also offers opinions about the size of securities sales and recommends the types of securities that should be offered, including maturities, and offers opinions about the buyback of U.S. Treasuries. Often, Treasury officials use meetings with this committee to announce pending changes in policy, such as the elimination of the 30-year bond, so that the private sector has time to prepare.
