technical rally

technical rally definition - finance
An upward price movement based on the continuation of a price pattern. Or, in a case in which price has reached a certain low level, an upward movement in price indicates a technical rally. When the market moves up for no explainable reason, traders sometimes call it a technical rally or say that the market is “technically strong.”
