survey of business sentiment in Japan conducted by the Bank of Japan. The survey
is done quarterly, and its results often influence bond, foreign exchange, and
stock market trading activity. Japan is the worldÂ’s second largest economy and
traders evaluate economic conditions in Japan when deciding whether to buy the
Japanese yen or to buy Japanese equities or bonds.
