Series 6
Series 6 definition - finance
A
general securities license that allows the licensee to sell mutual funds,
closed-end funds, and unit investment trusts. The National Association of
Securities Dealers (NASD) issues the license after the applicant passes the appropriate
test. Continuing education requirements also must be met. This license is much
more narrow than the Series 7 license, and thus it is easier to obtain.
